The Agony Of Betrayal

THE AGONY OF BETRAYAL

I'm on a journey to somewhere unknown,
Running into a hole unknown.
I'm on a bus to a strange land,
Where the devil doesn't pretend to be a brother.
My soul has been ripped by the ones I call my own,
My heart has been stripped by the ones I care about.
Ask me not to leave a note under my reading lamp,
Tell me not to go on this forever journey.

When I no longer can remember evil deeds,
When I'm floating on death's seas,
Tell papa not to drink to stupor,
Tell mama not to die of shock.

Smiles turned limes,
Sweet turned sour,
Roses turned sores,
Brothers turned foes.

Sing no hymn,
Tell me no goodnight.
It'd be a bright day
down six feet.
